New CEO for RI UK
Simon Lidington will take over from Colin Buckingham as CEO of Research International UK, when the latter assumes his new role as CEO Global Business
Lidington will also join the company's Group Board. He has been in market research, and latterly management consultancy, since 1977 - starting out at the Manpower Services Commission and then Fiat before moving to the agency side. He worked at BJM and PAS Research, and co-founded The Business Research Unit. A Partner in Quadrangle Consulting since 1989, he has recently been elected to the MRS Council.
Group CEO Roger Banks says Lidington is 'an outstanding researcher, manager, entrepreneur and leader and we are very lucky to have him'.
Lidington, who starts in the new role on 1st June, comments 'I am enormously excited about joining Research International. Of all the major research agencies in the world, I believe it has the greatest potential to embrace the real insight opportunity, helping clients use sophisticated research to fuel innovation and change'.
