Fanplayr Adds Personalized SMS Feature
In the US, real-time targeting specialist Fanplayr has added 'Personalized SMS' to its suite of products, for targeting lead generation and online shoppers.
With headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Fanplayr has developed a cloud-based platform using behavioral data, machine learning and AI to help eCommerce sites understand visitors' intent, and then deliver real-time, targeted messages and offers to specific segments. In December, the company added a feature called Product Recommendations, analyzing customers' online eCommerce activity and recommending other relevant products and services.
Fanplayr says most companies begin by targeting customers on their web site, then work with an ESP (wireless communications network) to push out offers and notifications via e mail. According to the firm, in the past, that data would need to be transferred and shared with a third-party SMS provider to send text messages.
Simon Yencken (pictured), founder and CEO, explains: 'Adding SMS will allow us to be fully integrative in our approach for customers. In the past we've worked with other providers to fill the SMS product need. Now, instead of sharing the data between providers, we're able to service the client throughout the entire stream of interaction with their customer'.
