IFOP Opens in New York with Luxury Brand Research Focus
French market research and polling firm IFOP has opened an office in New York, where it is led by Stephanie Sandler, who previously built and led the Consumer Insights division at French fashion house Chanel.
IFOP, which was founded in 1938, also has offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The company focuses on public opinion polling and market research, with specialities which include luxury, fashion and beauty.
In New York, the firm's new North America office is led by Sandler (pictured), who joins with more than twenty years' marketing experience in the luxury sector, including nearly three years at luxury goods business Richemont, where she served as VP of Marketing & Communications for the Piaget watch and jewellery brand. Prior to this, she spent more than fourteen years at Chanel, latterly as Head of Marketing & Client Experience - Watches and Fine Jewellery in New York. Earlier at Chanel in Paris, she held senior roles across skincare marketing and was Director of Consumer Insights for Fashion, Watches/FJ, Fragrance & Beauty.
Sandler said that the New York office will focus on supporting clients across the luxury, beauty and wellness sectors. The company has just completed its North America's 2021 Affluent Consumer Insights Study on luxury shopping.
