Ipsos Creates Global Marketing Leadership Role
Ipsos has hired former New York Times insights exec Dan Wong-Chi-Man for a newly created role, Head of Global Marketing and Business Development. He will be based in London.
Wong-Chi-Man (pictured) joins after nearly five years at The New York Times, latterly as Global Director Ad Innovation & Insights, having joined in 2016 as International Research Director. Prior to this he was Head of Strategic Insights at Dow Jones, and Head of Research and Strategic Insight at The Economist. He also co-founded job seeker tool Linkkages.
In his new role, Wong-Chi-Man will report into Liz Landy, Global Head of Audience Measurement, who comments: 'Dan is a proven marketer and business leader. Ipsos has ambitious plans to help its clients understand users in a data-centric world. His knowledge of audiences in the media industry will prove invaluable to help us shape and position our new offerings'.
His hire follows Ipsos' recent acquisitions of bit data audience measurement firm Fistnet and out-of-home specialist MGE Data; and the launch of Ipsos iris, the UKOM-endorsed industry standard for online audience measurement in the UK.
