New Leader for Digital Product Analytics Firm Heap
San Francisco-based Heap has named Ken Fine as its new CEO, replacing co-founder Matin Movassate who is moving to the full-time role of Chairman of the Board. The firm has also expanded its product portfolio and added two VPs to the team.
Heap automatically captures customer app and web site user interactions, without requiring tracking plans, tracking code or tags - and produces real-time reports allowing clients to understand what users are doing.
Fine (pictured) joined in 2019 as President and COO following the firm's $55m Series C round of funding, and after serving as Symphony Commerce President and CEO. Earlier, he was Chief Customer Officer & VP Worldwide Product at customer experience management specialist Medallia, and he founded online investment manager Financial Engines, which he ran for more than fifteen years until its IPO in 2012. Movassate comments: 'A recognized leader who's made a career out of driving company growth and pushing the envelope toward what's next, Ken is the ideal person to take this company forward into its next decade. I couldn't have found a more trusted advisor to lead Heap'.
The company has also hired Rachel Obstler as Vice President of Product and David Fullerton as Vice President of Engineering. The two bring a combined 30+ years of tech experience from companies including Dynatrace, PagerDuty and Stack Overflow.
