DBM Names Two Leaders in Sydney
In Australia, research consultancy DBM has appointed Kerry Sproston as Executive Director, responsible for developing its offer in the government and social research sector. The firm has also promoted Angela Baker to Executive Director of its client-facing and Advanced Analytics teams.
Founded in 1992, DBM offers specialist research services in the retail and B2B sectors using syndicated and bespoke programs. Its DBM Atlas survey offers data on Australian consumers' behaviour and attitudes regarding retail banking, insurance and wealth management; while its Business and Financial Services Monitor (BFSM) provides the country's major financial institutions with information about the business market. In 2018, the firm merged with insight-driven strategy consulting group Illuminera.
Sproston joins after a decade at Engine / its predecessor company ORC International, including three years as Managing Director of Government and Social Research in Australia. Prior to this she spent fifteen years as a senior researcher at the UK's NatCen (the National Centre for Social Research), and during her career she has worked in partnership with government clients and academics, providing advice and tailoring research to meet their needs. Baker has been promoted from her previous role of General Manager of the Sydney office, and now looks after teams specialising in syndicated and bespoke research in banking, superannuation, insurance and education. She joined DBM in 2019, before which she held senior roles at Red Planet, The Baker Group, ME Bank, Forethought Research and Roy Morgan Research.
CEO Kipling Zubevich comments: 'With the hire of Kerry and promotion of Ange, I am confident that DBM is well placed to accelerate our expansion plans and deliver even richer insights for our clients'.
