Clearbit Hires SurveyMonkey's Ross Moser as CEO
In the US, B2B marketing intelligence engine Clearbit has appointed former SurveyMonkey exec Ross Moser as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding acting CEO and co-founder Matt Sornson.
San Francisco-based Clearbit provides a data engine to enable clients to understand customers, identify future prospects, and personalize every marketing and sales interaction. The solution offers a segmentation module, which uses person and company data for more targeted messaging. It can also be used to identify web traffic based on IP addresses, so that content can be customized for specific audiences; and for advanced retargeting of custom ads.
Moser (pictured) joins after nearly a decade at SurveyMonkey, where he held a number of leadership roles, including most recently serving as General Manager of the Surveys business, and earlier Chief Product Officer, and Head of Customer Success & Operations. Before SurveyMonkey he led Product and Operational teams at Google, initially working as a Business Analytics Manager and then as Senior Manager - User Operations.
He takes over from CMO Sornson, who replaced co-founder and now Chairman Alex MacCaw last year. Commenting on the appointment, MacCaw said: 'Ross brings a wealth of operational experience along with a passion for customers and product-led growth to Clearbit. He is ideally positioned to lead the company on the next stage of our journey and to maximize Clearbit's opportunity with customers, employees, and shareholders. I also want to thank Matt for his leadership and contributions to the organization during this period'.
