Consensus Point Becomes Cipher Post Acquisition
In the US, prediction market research specialist Consensus Point has been renamed Cipher, following its acquisition of market and competitive intelligence consultancy Cipher Systems last year.
Consensus Point's Hunnu tool uses a prediction market algorithm to identify trends and consumer behavior, and forecast marketing and business outcomes. Clients can discover which ideas will create most impact, whether in early-stage idea and concept analysis, creative or package testing. Cipher's Knowledge360 competitive intelligence software, which is based on proprietary natural language processing and machine learning, enables clients to monitor their market for disruption, and assess their competitive landscape.
Moving forward, the combined company will operate under the Cipher brand name. Brad Marsh (pictured), former Consensus Point CEO, and now CEO of Cipher, comments: 'We are proud to have created the only truly 360-degree market and competitive intelligence platform that can identify, predict, and monitor the market forces and competitor activities most likely to cause disruption. We have strong advocates within our customer base of intelligence, strategy, and insights leaders, and our team is passionate about leveraging technology to connect them to the data and foresight needed to make faster, more informed decisions about the future.'
