Targetable Buys Proximity Marketing Firm ShopAdvisor
In the US, brand marketing platform Targetable has acquired ShopAdvisor, which provides mobile proximity marketing and analytic solutions for restaurants and hospitality brands, CPG brands and their digital agency partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ShopAdvisor's offer spans audience and geographic targeting, development of media creative design and delivery, campaign execution, management and optimization, and post-campaign analysis. The firm's Proximity Marketing solution enables end-to-end marketing campaigns that are designed to engage consumers on their mobile devices, tablets and desktops, and drive traffic to targeted locations in geo-fenced areas.
As part of the deal, the combined organizations will take on the Targetable brand, and ShopAdvisor's CEO, Jeff Papows, will continue to work with the company in an advisory capacity. Andrew Nash (pictured), CEO of Targetable, comments: 'By acquiring ShopAdvisor, we are significantly enhancing our ability to target and reach specific consumer segments and locations and then analyze overall campaign effectiveness by measuring engagement, sales lift and return on ad spend. ShopAdvisor also brings significant experience working in market segments that align with our vision for expanding our customer base to include CPG brands and digital agencies.'
