PureSpectrum Raises $17m Growth Funding

In the US, online sample company PureSpectrum has raised $17m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to continue building its team and to expand its product offering.

Launched in 2016 by former Cint US MD Michael McCrary (pictured), PureSpectrum provides a marketplace for buyers and sellers of online sample. Last year, the firm launched PureScore, an advanced machine learning-driven respondent scoring system designed to block 'low-quality' respondents from taking surveys. Earlier this month, the business expanded to the Asia Pacific region, where it has appointed former Cint exec James Rogers as Managing Director.

New funding comes from Arthur Ventures, and McCrary comments: 'This growth equity will allow us to do more faster, it is a tremendous opportunity to accelerate the growth of the business. One of the reasons why we decided to partner with Arthur Ventures is that they understand who we are and what we stand for. We have no intention of changing our focus on providing the highest quality experiences for our customers'.
