Information Services Group Names New CFO

US-based global technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has announced that EVP and Chief Financial Officer David Berger is to retire after twelve years with the business. He will be succeeded by Humberto 'Bert' Alfonso on June 7th.

Founded by Chairman and CEO Michael Connors in 2006, and headquartered in Stamford, CT, ISG specializes in digital transformation services, including data analytics; sourcing advisory; change management; market intelligence; and technology research and analysis. The firm employs more than 1,300 professionals operating in more than twenty countries.

Berger (pictured) joined in 2009 after eight years at Nielsen, latterly as SVP, Corporate Controller and Investor Relations. Prior to this he worked for Simon & Schuster and Viacom for nine years, and earlier in senior roles at American National Can Company and Touche Ross & Company (now Deloitte). Berger will remain with the firm for several months in an advisory role to assist in ongoing M&A projects and to support the transition.

Alfonso has 30 years' experience from senior operating and finance roles. Most recently, he was the CEO of brand licensing company Yowie Group, before which he spent a decade with The Hershey Company in roles including CFO and President of Hershey International. Prior to this he was EVP and CFO of Cadbury Schweppes Americas beverages and VP and CFO of the Adams Division of Pfizer. In his new role, Alfonso will be responsible for all areas of finance, legal affairs and M&A for ISG, reporting to Connors, and serving as a member of the ISG executive leadership team.
