Sorrell's S4Capital Buys Brazilian Agency Raccoon
Sir Martin Sorrell's S4Capital has acquired Brazil-based digital performance agency Raccoon Group, to expand its data and digital media practice in Latin America. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2013 by two former Google employees André Palis and Marco Túlio Kehdi. Raccoon operates a 360 degree model including digital marketing services (SEO, inbound and performance media), and market intelligence and infrastructure solutions such as business intelligence, data and analytics, consulting, programmatic media, 'brandformance', applications and eCommerce development. The business employs more than 450 digital media specialists, engineers, mathematicians, statisticians and programmers.
As part of the deal, Raccoon will join S4's digital media consultancy MightyHive, which last year launched a global data practice, promising client organizations better understanding of how their customers make business decisions. Chris Martin (pictured), MightyHive co-founder and S4Capital Executive Director, comments: 'Raccoon is a natural expansion of our data and digital media practice in Brazil. Welcoming André, Túlio and their colleagues to the family allows us to combine our existing capabilities with their best-in-class performance media and data competencies to create a broad-based digital media offering'.
