Data Science Platform Explorium Raises $75m
Tel Aviv, Israel-based data science platform Explorium has raised $75m in a Series C round of funding.
The firm helps companies build better predictive models by connecting their internal data to thousands of external data sources (including company, geospatial, behavioral, time-based and web site data). Its platform then automatically uncovers hidden connections between these data sets, and generates custom signals and new data science 'features'. Use cases include analytics for demand forecasting and customer lifetime value analysis.
New funding has been led by Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors Zeev Ventures, Emerge, F2 Venture Capital, 01 Advisors and Dynamic Loop Capital; bringing Explorium's total investment to date to more than $127m. George Mathew, MD at Insight Partners, comments: 'We're seeing data become the new differentiator. AI and machine learning are already table stakes. Everyone has them. Competitive advantage will depend not just on the quality of your models but on the diversity of data fueling those models, making Explorium a unique proposition for data scientists and analysts alike'.
The firm, which is led by CEO Maor Shlomo (pictured), is online at www.explorium.ai .
