Revenue Intelligence Specialist Gong Raises $250m
US and Israel-based revenue intelligence provider Gong has raised $250m in a Series E round of funding, valuing the company at $7.25 billion.
Gong captures clients' interactions with their customers via e-mail, web conference calls, phone calls and other means, and then uses patented AI technology to understand what is being said, uncovering patterns and trends in the data, and finding insights to help increase sales, reduce churn, and increase market share. The firm's patented Gong Revenue Intelligence Platform captures and understands every customer interaction, then delivers insights at scale to enable revenue teams to make decisions based on data.
New funding has been led by Franklin Templeton, with participation from existing investors including Coatue, Salesforce Ventures, Sequoia, Thrive Capital, and Tiger Global, and bringing the total funding to date to $584m. Commenting on the news, Gong CEO Amit Bendov (pictured) said: 'The funding will support the massive growth in revenue intelligence and enable the future of selling. We will invest purposefully in building new products. We will continue to invest in our people as well, with a focus on personal and professional development while continuing to diversify our team as we grow our global customer base.'
