New Funds for Customer Data Platform RudderStack
RudderStack, a customer data platform (CDP) for developers, has raised $21m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to further build its technology platform and infrastructure.
San Francisco-based RudderStack collects a company's data from every customer touchpoint - including web, mobile and backend systems - and can send it in real time to more than 50 cloud-based destinations and any major data warehouse. Following last year's acquisition of data integration company Blendo, RudderStack has launched a tool called RSDX, which combines CDP capabilities, including out of the box connectors for more than 150 apps.
New funding has been led by Kleiner Perkins, adding to the $5m seed round raised a year ago. Soumyadeb Mitra (pictured), RudderStack founder and CEO, comments: 'RSDX is the culmination of all we've learned from our customers about how they want to build and manage their customer data platforms, built as a system that combines our CDP capabilities with a developer-first design. We're excited to partner with Kleiner Perkins to accelerate our mission of making data engineers the heroes of their companies'.
