MR Appointments at US Magazines
Two US companies involved with magazine publishing have recently announced personnel changes involving managers with responsibility for MR.
Tom Harty has joined the Meredith Magazine Group, part of the Meredith Corporation, where he will oversee the direct response and travel advertising departments, as well as its strategic planning, magazine development and market research functions. Harty was most recently Senior Vice President, General Manager for The Golf Digest Companies, a division of Advance Magazines.
Allison White has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development for PARADE magazine [not to be confused with the same title in the UK]. As part of the senior management team, White is responsible for developing competitive and long-term business strategies, and oversees the daily functions of PARADE's research and sales support departments. White joined the magazine in 2002 as Manager / Planning and Development.
