Australia's The Lab Adds Eight to Team
In Australia, cultural insights and strategy company The Lab has hired eight new members of staff across its Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane offices.
Founded in 2006, The Lab offers a variety of brand strategy and positioning, qualitative research and insights, and semiotics services. The firm recently launched an artificial intelligence and machine learning division called Lab AI.
Christine O'Keefe joins in Melbourne as Strategy Director, after working at AJF Partnership as a Strategy Director, and Casey Greig takes up the same title in Brisbane, following more than a decade as an insights and strategy exec at media companies including Nova Entertainment, Southern Cross Austereo and Bauer Media. Also in Brisbane, the firm has hired former News Corp employee Maddison Croker as Strategy Consultant.
The Lab has named three new Senior Strategy Consultants - in Melbourne, Tallon Mason-Kaine, who joins after several years working as a planner for ad agencies AJF Partnership and Leo Burnett; in Sydney, Malcolm Miller joins after holding roles at For The People and Pacific Magazines; and Katie Buckley joins in Sydney after positions at Kantar and Landor. Finally, The Lab has added two recent graduates: Jed Larwood in Brisbane and Corrie Dinmore in Melbourne.
Co-founder and CEO Neale Cotton comments: 'I'm excited to announce so many new additions to our team, from senior executives through to recent university graduates. Our new recruits come from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, from behavioural and social sciences to strategy. Diversity in thought is really important to us as it helps sparks new ideas and fresh perspectives for our clients'.
