Former Maru/Matchbox co-CEO Joins Morning Consult

Former Maru/Matchbox co-CEO Brian James has joined consumer insights platform Morning Consult as Associate VP of Client Services in the Commercial division.

Morning Consult surveys tens of thousands of respondents across the globe every day, to assess what people think in real time, and determine how their decisions impact business, politics and the economy. The firm's survey research platform offers access to more than 100 million people globally, collecting over 15,000 daily interviews nationally representative of populations in twelve countries. Since the end of 2019, the company has seen a 177% increase in staff numbers, and in June it raised $70m in a Series B round of funding.

James (pictured) joins from communities specialist Maru/Matchbox, where he served as Deputy CEO and Chief Client Officer for North America. He previously worked for Kantar as President of Brand Performance, and he spent more than a decade at Millward Brown, during which time he established the company's Chicago office; led the transformation of its North American service delivery model; and created a new regional business by integrating two of its offices.
