Gartner Research Division Sees Double Digit Growth
Global research and advisory company Gartner has reported a 20% increase in second quarter revenue to $1.2 billion, from $973.1m a year earlier. Research revenues rose 14.6% to $1,003.2m, while the Conferences division recovered half its Q2 2019 revenue for a total of $58.2m.
A year ago Conferences Q2 revenue was just $0.3m, from $114.2m in Q2 2019. The Consulting division increased to $105.9m in Q2 2021, from $97.5m a year earlier. Overall, for the group, net income was $271m, up from just $55.1m in Q2 2020, and adjusted EBITDA was $355m, up from $192m. The firm has now updated its guidance for the full year 2021, and is anticipating an 11% increase in both Research and total revenue to $4 billion and $4.5 billion respectively.

We repurchased over $1 billion of stock year-to-date and remain committed to returning excess capital to shareholders.
