Revenue Intelligence Firm People.ai Raises $100m
US-based revenue intelligence platform People.ai has raised $100m in a Series D round of funding, which it will invest in its SmartData platform, and in new industry segments and geographies.
The firm uses patented AI technology to convert business activity captured directly from e-mail, calendar and conferencing systems into go-to-market insights. Its SmartData Foundation platform, AI, SmartMatch and its PeopleGraph identity graph technologies are designed to help clients increase the revenue generated by every sales representative. Earlier this year, People.ai acquired Salesforce user productivity app Hero Research.
New funding has been co-led by Akkadian Ventures and Mubadala Capital with participation from existing investors including ICONIQ Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, valuing People.ai at around $1.1 billion. People.ai founder and CEO Oleg Rogynskyy (pictured) says the new funding will ensure that his firm 'continues to lead the industry with the world's best account and opportunity management functionality'.
