Sendinblue Buys Add Analytics and Chatbots
In the US, digital marketing platform Sendinblue has bought three eCommerce-related companies for $47m - analytics solution Metrilo, chatbot platform Chatra, and push notification tool PushOwl.
Bulgaria-based Metrilo provides a marketing and sales analytics platform for e-merchants. Through the platform, users can study traffic, sales, visitor and customer behavior, product performance and conversion funnels. Chatra is a messaging platform which gives customers a centralized platform for all interactions with customers, be it live chat, e-mails or social media. Customers can also access analytics on web site visits and user profiles. PushOwl allows eCommerce stores to enable web push notifications as a marketing channel, enabling customers to send marketing campaigns, set up automated flows, recover abandoned carts, personalize their promotions, and optimize their strategy with metrics and reporting.
The acquisitions have taken place eleven months after Sendinblue's $160m Series B round of funding. From next year, Sendinblue says its customers will be able to monitor and analyze the ROI of marketing performance and improve overall sales performance through Metrilo; deploy automated chat notifications based on visitor behavior and respond to questions one-on-one via their web site or social media channels through Chatra; and deploy web site push notifications to consumers to reduce abandoned shopping carts and drive eCommerce growth through PushOwl.
Armand Thiberge (pictured), CEO, Sendinblue, comments: 'Acquiring Metrilo, Chatra and PushOwl is part of Sendinblue's longer term vision to expand our marketing capabilities and dive into the growing eCommerce space. Now, our all-in-one digital marketing solution will become even more powerful, enabling these businesses to expedite sales and drive strategic business decisions.'
