Norstat to Buy Zurich's TestingTime
Data collection company Norstat has agreed to acquire Zurich-based TestingTime, which supplies test users and other study participants through a self-service platform. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
TestingTime has a panel comprising nearly one million test users, who can be recruited by MR, UX and CX professionals at scale for a variety of remote and in person tests. As well as its Swiss headquarters, the firm has additional offices in Germany, the UK and France.
The company will join a pan-European Norstat Group, now boasting a physical presence in fourteen European markets, with more than 200 full-time and 1500 part-time employees. TestingTime's user pools across Europe will add more than 900,000 individuals to Norstat's existing consumer panel, and the acquisition will enable Norstat to offer DIY recruitment of test users and respondents for both qual and quant research. Revenue for the combined company will be EUR 60m.
Nortstat CEO Erling Eriksen (pictured) comments: 'Norstat is actively looking for expansion opportunities in Europe and we have the ambition to address both quantitative and qualitative research across our markets, with a one-stop shop approach to field work / data collection capabilities. As such, the acquisition is very much in line with our overall strategy and is an important milestone on our path to becoming the leading European player within this industry'.
