Senior Financial Officer Taft Leaves Nielsen
Nielsen's SVP Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer Christopher Taft is leaving the company after two years. CFO Linda Zukauckas will take the Principal Accounting Officer role on an interim basis while a successor is found.
In an 8-K SEC filing Nielsen said Taft tendered his resignation on Friday, aiming to pursue 'another career opportunity', but stressed that the decision to leave came 'not a result of any disagreement with the Company's independent auditors or any member of management on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or internal controls'. Taft joined the company at Christmas 2019. Details of his next move are not known to DRNO at the time of writing.
Zukauckas (pictured) will take on the additional role from November 12th, continuing as CFO throughout. She served as EVP Deputy CFO for American Express from February 2018 to January 2020; after six years as the firm's EVP / Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. She will not receive additional compensation in connection with the temporary responsibilities.
