UK Not-For-Profit Research Founder Sells
In the UK, founder Joe Saxton has sold nfpSynergy, an independent market research company specialising in not-for-profits, to his colleagues of ten years, co-MDs Cian Murphy and Tim Harrison-Byrne.
In twenty years with Saxton (pictured) at the helm, the company has published more than 150 free reports for charities; incubated CharityComms, a membership network for communications professionals working in UK charities; and given substantial support to the Association of Volunteer Managers.
In a blog, Saxton said the new owners would be 'safe hands' for the company, but also had many new plans which they would be setting out 'very shortly'. Saxton will remain with the company for 'a year or two more' and will continue working on projects, including a report on the future of fundraising. He will retain the title of Driver of Ideas but now with '(emeritus)' tacked on the end.
The firm is online at www.nfpsynergy.net .
