Ipsos MORI Names Head of Energy and Environment
Ipsos MORI has appointed Rachel Brisley as Head of Energy and Environment in its Public Affairs team, leading a team of researchers, evaluation specialists, and economists working specifically in the areas of environmental, energy and sustainable development policy for public sector clients.
Brisley (pictured) joins from environmental consultancy specialist JBA Consulting, where she latterly served as Head of Climate Services, supporting policy and decision makers to assess and manage climate risks, having earlier been Head of the firm's Warrington-based office. Prior to joining JBA in 2012 as Technical Director - Climate Change Adaptation and Renewable Energy Planning, she was a Senior Consultant at economic and social development researcher SQWSQ. Her background includes national and international expertise in climate resilience and net zero and she is a regular commentator in the media on those issues, including recently at COP26.
Brisley's new role was previously held by Antonia Dickman, who is now International Climate and Energy Analyst, and Head of Social Research at the Government's Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. Commenting on the appointment, Trinh Tu, MD, Ipsos MORI Public Affairs, said: 'With the eyes of the world on the UK regarding environmental and sustainability concerns, this is an incredibly exciting time to welcome Rachel into our Public Affairs team. Her experience and network will be invaluable in driving forward Ipsos MORI's offer in this area to the public sector.'
