Maxwell Rejoins Walnut Unlimited to Head Qual Team
Guy Maxwell has returned to insight business Walnut Unlimited as Head of Qualitative Research, after six years as Global Head of Qual Research at MMR. He replaces Lyn McGregor, who left in September and is now a consultant at Pollinate.
Walnut Unlimited was formed in 2017 when marcoms network the Unlimited Group combined four of its existing insight businesses to form what it describes as a 'human understanding' agency with strengths in neuroscience, behavioural science, qualitative research and data analytics. Maxwell (pictured) rejoins from consumer and sensory researcher MMR, having previously served as Head of the Qualitative team at Marketing Sciences Unlimited. Before this, he worked for Nunwood as European Qualitative Director, and Kantar Millward Brown as Senior Qualitative Account Director, based in the Sydney office. He began his career at field and tab agency SMS Research, where he worked for more than twelve years, latterly as MD.
Maxwell's appointment follows that of former Maru/Matchbox exec Anjul Sharma as Research Director, Ferdousey Basit as Senior Research Executive, and Eleanor Robson as Research Executive. In addition, Megan Knapp has been promoted to the role of Research Director from Associate Director.
MD Chris Bland comments: 'Our qual team continues to grow as we respond to the ever-increasing demand from clients to get closer to consumers using an array of online and face-to-face qualitative methods. Qual is at the heart of many of our projects where we blend our core capabilities like neuroscience, behavioural science and quant. It's great to continuously bolster our talent in qual and we are excited for the future of this team under Guy's leadership'.
