NielsenIQ Buys Transaction Data Firm Foxintel
NielsenIQ has acquired Paris-based Foxintelligence (Foxintel), which tracks and measures eCommerce activity based on anonymized transaction data collected from consumers through dedicated apps. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Foxintel was founded five years ago by current CEO Edouard Nattée (pictured), and today is described as 'the largest e-commerce measurement and consumer data analytics company in Europe'. The firm operates a panel of more than 600,000 active online buyers in France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain, and delivers insights via an SaaS platform. Clément Colin, Head of International E-commerce Measurement at NielsenIQ, said in a statement: 'NielsenIQ's ambition is to approach e-commerce holistically. Foxintelligence is instrumental in this strategy, expanding the footprint of our unmatched retail measurement solution. They uncover the online blind spots like marketplaces, category specialists, direct-to-consumer, quick-commerce, and last milers, among others, providing full-market coverage'.
Says Nattée: 'We are extremely proud and happy to join the NielsenIQ family. We have been working for over a year on common themes to bring ever more value to our clients, and we will now provide them a more comprehensive and integrated vision of the online and offline marketplace'.
Foxintel was advised by technology advisory and investment firm GP Bullhound, and the deal was backed by NielsenIQ owner Advent International.
