YouGov's Üstün Given Benelux Account Lead Role
YouGov has given Özge Akçizmeci Üstün a newly created role of Strategic Account Lead for the Benelux region, aiming to increase its presence in the area.
Üstün (pictured) currently serves as YouGov Turkey General Manager, after she founded online-focused MR firm Wizsight, which was acquired by YouGov last year. Earlier, she was a Partner at user segment analysis specialist Politio.com, having previously worked for Ipsos as Director in Geneva, and Director at innovation and forecasting business Ipsos InnoQuest in Turkey. Prior to this, she established Nielsen's innovation division BASES in Turkey.
According to the company, Üstün understands the dynamics of the Benelux markets having spent six years living and working in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In her new role, she will take the lead on client accounts that originate in the Benelux countries, while focusing on increasing YouGov's client base and revenue in the FMCG, retail and financial services sectors.
She will continue in her role in Turkey and report into YouGov's Chief Revenue Officer Frank Saez, who comments: 'We have long seen the Benelux markets as an opportunity for growth and Özge's knowledge of the countries will be invaluable to us. For too long, marketers, insights managers and brands in the region have been fed a diet of poor quality, slow-moving data that can only provide an out-of-date snapshot of how consumers think and act. But we offer them a better way - offering 360° data 24/7'.
