605 Hires Adscribe's Keaveney as Company President

US television measurement and analytics company 605 has appointed former Adscribe exec Tom Keaveney as company President, with direct oversight of its Sales, Marketing and Strategy divisions.

New York-based 605 offers advertising and content measurement, full-funnel attribution, media planning, optimization and analytical solutions on top of its TV viewing dataset, which collates deterministic data from more than 22 million US households across all 210 designated market areas. Earlier this week, the firm launched a media trading currency it calls 605 EXCHAN6E, which it claims offers an alternative to Nielsen.

Last year, 605 invested in London and Dublin-based ad technology, measurement and services business Adscribe and subsequently bought the business. Keaveney (pictured) joins from Adscribe, where he served as Head of Business Strategy. During this time, 605 partnered with Adscribe to develop its TV measurement product, 605 PLATF0RM. Keaveney began his career in general management in Ireland, the US and Asia, and then joined Goldman Sachs as an M&A banker based in London and New York. He later worked in venture capital with Lion Capital in London and the US, before co-founding a series of tech businesses in the data, analytics and advertising space.

In his new role, Keaveney will be responsible for 605's response to opportunities to provide measurement and insights for a wide variety of partners and clients. He will report to founder and CEO Kristin Dolan, who comments: 'We were first introduced to Tom during our negotiation and subsequent acquisition of Adscribe. At a time in which our industry is changing rapidly, we are thrilled to have him leading our growth plans, with a focus on building market share and deepening client relationships'.
