Microsoft to Buy AT&T Ad Analytics Division Xandr
AT&T has agreed to sell its advertising and analytics division Xandr to Microsoft. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Xandr combines data on customers with advertising technology to find and reach specific audiences. The firm's Curate platform enables data owners to 'layer' their assets with data from other sources and package it for sale via Xandr's marketplace; while its audience-based Monetize TV solution allows buyers to reach target audiences at scale.
The transaction agreement builds on a decade-long relationship between Xandr (including its predecessor companies) and Microsoft for delivering global digital media solutions for advertisers.
Mikhail Parakhin (pictured), President of Web Experiences at Microsoft, comments: 'With Xandr's talent and technology, Microsoft can accelerate the delivery of its digital advertising and retail media solutions, shaping tomorrow's digital ad marketplace into one that respects consumer privacy preferences, understands publishers' relationships with consumers and helps advertisers meet their goals'.
