Torfac Names Former Survey2Connect Exec CTO

Canada-based online sample and research technology specialist Torfac has appointed former Survey2Connect CTO Sahil Chachan as Chief Technology Officer, to lead the development and expansion of its technology product offerings. He is based in India.

Previously known as WiseWorks, Torfac has proprietary specialty panels in more than 25 countries, focusing on B2B sample and harder to reach consumer segments like 'moms with babies', ethnic groups and specific ailments. As well as its headquarters in Toronto, the company has offices in New York, Singapore and New Delhi.

Chachan (pictured) joins after nearly four years at online survey platform Survey2Connect (S2C) in India, where he latterly served as CTO. Earlier, he was Senior Software Engineer at Gemini Solutions, he co-founded Scrabbl, and he was a Software Engineer at Cognizant-owned digital video solutions company Itaas. During his career, he has led and managed teams involved in product development and software lifecycle management.

In his new role, Chachan will support the organization's technology strategy, and is tasked with identifying and introducing 'best in class' technology solutions. Commenting on the appointment, CEO Gaurav Agarwal said: 'As a distinguished tech expert, Sahil understands the challenges and opportunities of online market research space. With Sahil's recent past assignment, he has gained a deeper understanding of the ResTech landscape.'
