Acquisition for Secure Audience Data Firm Nth Party
In New York, sell-side ad platform Magnite has acquired Nth Party, which creates software for secure audience data sharing and analysis. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Nth Party uses secure multi-party computation to enhance data privacy, enabling users to perform analyses of encrypted data, without decoding it. Clients deploy the software, which runs entirely on-premises or in their cloud, and Nth Party doesn't see or store their data, which remains encrypted at all times, even when in use.
The firm was founded in 2020 by Shereen Shermak, Andrei Lapets, Frederick Jansen and Adam Towvim (pictured), and now totals seven employees including five engineers, all of whom will report to Magnite's VP of Engineering Robert Lyons.
Magnite Chief Product Officer Adam Soroca comments: 'First-party audience data is becoming increasingly important to the future of advertising. The seasoned Nth Party team will accelerate our existing data activation efforts immensely. Our teams share the same principles around data compliance and safety, and Nth Party's approach to handling audience data in a secure and privacy-centric way will continue at Magnite'.
