Former Kantar Exec MacGregor Joins Pollen Recruitment

In the UK, market research sector staffing firm Pollen Recruitment has appointed former Kantar Public exec James MacGregor as a Senior Consultant, with a focus on public sector clients.

London-based Pollen specialises in sourcing candidates for quant and qual market research / consumer insight, project management, operations, statistics, data science and analysis roles. MacGregor joins after serving as MD of the Public division at social media monitoring specialist Bakamo, before which he was a Director at Kantar Public, responsible for all agency new business and key client relationships. Prior to this he worked for youth, student and young professionals specialist YouthSight as Director of Higher Education Research, developing new business, new products, project delivery, and representing the firm on higher education issues. Earlier, he was Head of Market Strategy at Goldsmiths, University of London; and Head of Market Intelligence at EdComs.

MacGregor's research has involved using secondary and meta-analysis, and qual and quant approaches applied to various policy development, evaluation and marketisation research challenges for central government clients, as well as charities and UK universities. According to Pollen Director Bridget Barry: 'The move into recruitment allows James to indulge in his passion for building teams and helping others flourish in an increasingly dynamic industry'.
