Long-Time Nielsen Exec Pat Dodd Named Corelogic CEO
In the US, residential property sector analytics and solutions provider Corelogic has appointed long-time Nielsen exec Pad Dodd as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Frank Martell, who becomes Non-Executive Chairman of the Board.
Irvine, California-based CoreLogic combines data from public, contributory and proprietary sources, which includes more than 4.5 billion records spanning over 50 years, providing detailed coverage of property and mortgages, consumer credit, tenancy, location, hazard risk and related performance information. Last year, the firm was acquired by private equity firms Stone Point Capital and Insight Partners for an estimated $6 billion.
Dodd (pictured) joined in September 2020 as Chief Operating and Growth Officer, after three decades at Nielsen. He latterly worked there as Global President & Chief Commercial Officer of NielsenIQ based in Switzerland, before which he led Nielsen's Global Markets Group; was responsible for overseeing Nielsen's business operations in 23 markets; and held senior leadership positions including President of Nielsen Europe, China and Canada.
He takes over from Martell, who has led the business since 2017, following the unexpected death of Anand Nallathambi. Nallathambi in turn had served as CEO from the firm's inception in June 2010, following its spinoff from First American Finance Corp. Martell previously worked at Nielsen, where he spent eleven years, latterly as COO.
Commenting on the news, Martell said: 'With the company operating at record levels and with a deep and talented leadership bench in place, it is now time for me to step back from my operating role. Pat is a very talented leader, and I am confident he will take the company forward and create incredible value in the years ahead. I look forward to continuing to be engaged as a Board member and investor while pursuing new transformational opportunities in the information services space'.
