Customer Research Platform Dovetail Raises $63m
In Australia, customer research platform Dovetail has raised $63m in a Series A round of funding, for use in continuing to build its core platform and expanding its product portfolio.
Founded in 2017, Dovetail helps users store, analyze and collaborate on user research in one place. The cross-functional solution is used by product, research, engineering and design teams, for the analysis of multiple formats, and centralizes insights across an organization's tool stack.
In the past twelve months, the company has grown headcount from 20 to 65 people; launched new reporting and data discovery features, and a participant management tool; opened a San Francisco hub; and launched integrations with Zoom, Google Drive and Slack. New funding has been led by Accel, with participation from existing investors including Blackbird and Felicis Ventures, bringing the total raised to date to $71m and valuing the company at $US 700m.
Benjamin Humphrey (pictured), co-founder and CEO of Dovetail, comments: 'I'm proud to say Dovetail is becoming a must-have for many organizations. Through the insights created on our platform, teams can quickly make good decisions based on everything they know about their customers. With Accel's partnership and this new capital, I'm excited to continue growing our team to build new functionality and launch new products'.
