GovExec Buys Defense Sector Analyst Forecast

In the US, information services company GovExec has acquired Forecast International, which provides subscription-based market intelligence, forecasting, proprietary research and consulting services for the aerospace and defense industries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Forecast International's offerings include 36 recurring market intelligence and forecast products, 27 'Platinum' forecast modules, licensing of multiple digital inventory databases which are refreshed regularly, more than 70 individual market segment analyses, and more than 1,300 individual reports annually - providing coverage of worldwide land, sea, air and space programs. These offerings will be combined with GovExec's data and insights platform, to provide contractors with tools to track research opportunities using GovExec's data sources.

The deal, which was completed with financial support from private equity firm Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), sees Forecast International join GovExec's Defense division.
