Former Trudeau Research Director Re-joins Pollara
Canadian firm Pollara Strategic Insights has announced the return of Dan Arnold, as Chief Strategy Officer, after six years serving as Director of Research and Advertising to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Originally founded in 1985 as Insight Canada Research by Michael Marzolini, Pollara is headquartered in Toronto and also has an office in Vancouver. The company specializes in brand and customer experience research, and its InsurPoll takes the annual pulse of Canada's auto and home insurance policyholders. In addition, the firm has recently launched a standalone business called PoliSci, which will offer new research tools to political parties and candidates in municipal, provincial and federal elections in Canada and abroad.
Arnold (pictured) was previously part of Justin Trudeau's senior staff, responsible for overseeing the Government of Canada's public opinion research, advertising and correspondence, and using research findings to help develop messaging and position the government on key issues. Prior to this, he was briefly Director of Research for the Liberal Party of Canada, having spent six years at Pollara, latterly as Associate VP. In his new position, Arnold will also bring his political research experience to the new PoliSci offer.
Separately, company President Craig Worden has been given the additional role of Chief Innovation Officer, charged with designing and building new research models and overseeing the expansion of Pollara's Online+ research platform; while Lesli Martin has been promoted to Senior Vice President.
