Crowd DNA Names London Head, Plans LA Office Launch
Cultural insights and strategy consultancy Crowd DNA has named Dave Power Head of Agency for London, replacing Laura Warby, who moves into a part-time role. Additionally, the firm is planning to open a second US office, located in Los Angeles.
Owned by marketing and customer analytics consultancy STRAT7, Crowd DNA conducts research to understand people, culture and trends across the world. As well as its London headquarters, the firm has offices in Amsterdam, New York, Sydney, Singapore and Stockholm. Power (pictured) joined in 2019 to manage the firm's quant team, Crowd Numbers. He previously spent three years at RDSi, before which he was Group Senior Insight Manager at Hachette, and he worked for media company Future Publishing, having begun his career at McCallum Layton.
In his new role, Power takes over from Warby, who will now work across areas such as method innovation and best practice. Founder and CEO Andy Crysell comments: 'Dave knows our business well, and from all angles, having previously been one of our clients. We're delighted to bring him into this role, and have great confidence he'll pick up exactly where Laura so excellently left off, driving growth and encouraging the highest quality of work from our amazing London team'.
In Los Angeles, the company plans to build a specialism around next generation entertainment, serving clients in media, tech, creator and fan economies - as well as brands in categories such as apparel and alcohol who seek to engage with audiences through new entertainment experiences. Crysell adds: 'We see this as a great opportunity to bolster our already strong relationships with many of the biggest and most innovative entertainment brands in the world. Our Los Angeles office will also act as a hub for our thought leadership outputs around the fast-changing developments in this exciting field'.
