App Intel Firm Sensor Tower Expands to Australia
US-based mobile app market intelligence and insights provider Sensor Tower has expanded to Australia, following its 2021 acquisition of ad intelligence platform Pathmatics, which was rolled out in Australia last summer.
Last June, Pathmatics expanded to both Australia and New Zealand, and appointed former Nielsen Australia exec Eugene Du Plessis to lead the new division as Regional Director. Sensor Tower will now provide Australian businesses with digital market intelligence data, with key app performance metrics relating to consumer spending, downloads, ad impressions, share of voice and engagement for competitors' products on Google Play and Apple's App Store.
Sensor Tower APAC MD, Tom Cui (pictured), comments: 'Australia's app market is one of the strongest in the world, with high device ownership rates, along with double-digit growth in download and spend each year. It was the logical next step in our Asia-Pacific growth plan.
