Seed Funds for Retail Intelligence Specialist GoalProfit
In the US, low-code retail intelligence platform GoalProfit has raised $655k in a pre-seed round of funding.
Founded by former IBM execs Maxim Morozov (pictured) and Oleg Sidorkin, GoalProfit operates a platform allowing retailers to 'data-drive' their merchandising decisions, including price, promo, markdowns, inventories, demand and customer analytics. Price and markdown optimization solutions are based on a data platform with low-code interfaces which can be customized for specific customer needs; and API data integration can be established in days, with users onboard with almost no 'learning curve', according to the firm.
The pre-seed round is led by angels Ali Omar, Henry Nilert, Pekka Yitalo, Stas Baranov, and early-stage venture fund YellowRockets VC. Sidorkin comments: 'We are on a mission to show that advanced big data solutions are accessible to all businesses. Our solution is designed to bring the benefits of customized tools previously only available to large corporations. It gives any retailer the toolkit to explore their competitive advantage without the need for an expensive internal IT team'.
The company, which has offices in Austin, Texas and in Helsinki, is online at www.goalprofit.com .
