New CRO for Foursquare
In the US, location intelligence provider Foursquare has appointed Marjorie Janiewicz as Chief Revenue Officer, leading its global go-to-market strategy and sales force.
Foursquare's location intelligence technology helps brands to locate, message and measure their own consumers. After acquiring geospatial analytics and visualization platform Unfolded last year, Foursquare said it was now a single source of easy-to-use location data and technology, 'providing clients with the ability to access and apply spatial features to a variety of first-party and third-party data sets'.
Janiewicz (pictured) joins with two decades of software and SaaS sales experience. She most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at security platform HackerOne, before which she was VP of Global Corporate Sales at database software company MongoDB. Earlier she held the same title at human capital management software company SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP); and was Director of EMEA Corporate Sales and Global Lead Development at open-source relational database management system MySQL. The last was acquired by Oracle, where Janiewicz subsequently held sales leadership roles.
Commenting on the appointment, Foursquare President and CEO Gary Little said: 'Marjorie is a deeply respected enterprise software sales leader and a true builder. Her substantial international experience, customer first orientation and collaborative approach to scaling will be immeasurable assets to the Foursquare team as we expand our industry-leading location technology and data platform globally'.
