Insights Association Creates Three New Director Roles
In the US, industry body the Insights Association (IA) has appointed directors in three newly created positions: former Nielsen exec Cindy Neumann as Director, Research; Aman Ayalew as Director, Marketing; and Charlene Darko as Director, Chapters, Committees & Councils.
The Washington-based association, created from the merger of MRA and CASRO in January 2017, aims to 'Protect, Connect, Inform & Promote' members and the insights community as a whole. Its work includes setting and enforcing quality standards, legal and business advocacy, education, certification and direct support. Neumann (pictured) joins from mobile data platform Ogury, where she served as Research & Insights Director, Americas, after leading analytic consulting teams at Nielsen. Earlier she spent a decade at ConAgra Foods, latterly leading the Marketing Analytics function.
Ayalew joins with an association marketing background and experience in both non-profit and commercial brands, including serving as Marketing Manager at The Neurodiagnostic Society, Marketing Manager at the Chicago Loop Alliance, and Social Media and Digital Content Strategist at Governors State University. At IA, he will lead the brand and marketing strategy for all programs and services, including membership, events, certifications and advocacy. Darko has more than ten years' experience of large-scale events, including the London Jazz Festival, and London Olympic Festival, and has served in organizational management roles at The New School and for projects including MindOpen Learning Strategies.
