Kin + Carta Completes Melon Group Acquisition

Digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta has completed its acquisition of software development outsourcing company Melon Group, which employs a 300-strong team of data, web and mobile specialists working across Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2003, Melon Group offers a range of software for web and mobile development, big data science and visualization, usability analyses and heuristic evaluation, and UX design and usability testing. The company builds teams that match its clients' technological skillset and experience, from a variety of industries including finance, technology, entertainment, healthcare, energy, marketing, and more.

The deal, which was first announced in February and includes Melon Group's subsidiaries, bolsters Kin + Carta's digital transformation capabilities, while expanding the service capabilities and geographic reach of Kin + Carta's global growth strategy. It is also part of Kin + Carta's expansion plans in Southeastern Europe and complements Kin + Carta Greece, as the company looks to build a new European delivery hub.

Separately, earlier this year, Kin + Carta acquired the intellectual property of AI data platform Octain, which provides advanced insight, predictions, and recommendations to clients. This followed the divestments of CRM specialist Edit, and research and insights agency Incite.
