Omnicom Appoints First Data Privacy Chief
Global marcoms group Omnicom has appointed former Conduent exec Brian Clayton as its first Chief Data Privacy Officer, responsible for driving its 'privacy-first' approach and ensuring compliance with global privacy regulation.
Clayton joins from business process services firm Conduent, which was spun off from Xerox. In his role as Associate General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, he oversaw data privacy and compliance for more than 65,000 employees in over 70 countries. Over twenty years at Xerox and Conduent he designed and implemented privacy programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Privacy-By-Design, CCPA, GDPR, GLBA and HIPAA. He holds a CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, on whose Publications Advisory Board he served from 2019 - 2021. In his new role he will work with Omnicom's privacy-driven data platform, Omni.
