Prodege Buys Tech-based MR Firm BitBurst
US-based online consumer research and rewards platform Prodege has acquired German tech-based market research and sample supply company BitBurst, which connects millions of targeted respondents with surveys every year. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2015 by brothers Jan and Ben Asbach (pictured), BitBurst's proprietary technology solution powers the firm's Poll Pay, which drives users to interact with surveys and earn rewards in return, as well as other apps. The firm's research is based on its own panels, as well as those of third parties connected to its network.
Prodege says that the acquisition further expands its own international supply base, making it easier for clients to access millions of consumers' opinions in an 'agile manner'. The deal follows Prodege's recent acquisition of New York-based mobile survey platform Pollfish, which enables businesses to connect with millions of customers globally and create, target and analyze data in an all-in-one DIY platform.
Commenting on the news, Jan Asbach says: 'Innovative strength has always been a hallmark of BitBurst, so we're pleased to join Prodege and continue to build and implement new ideas for the dynamic consumer insights market. Together we're aligned to accelerate our path and prioritize building upon the agile research ecosystem as new leaders joining the Prodege team.'
