TV Measurement Firm 605 Names EVP and Head of Sales
In New York, TV and cross-platform measurement and attribution specialist 605 has appointed Sam Abiad as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales.
The company offers advertising and content measurement, full-funnel attribution, media planning, optimization and analytical solutions on top of its TV viewing dataset, which collates deterministic data from more than 22 million US households across all 210 designated market areas. In December, 605 launched a media trading currency it calls 605 EXCHAN6E, described as an alternative to Nielsen.
Abiad (pictured) joins with more than two decades of sales and operations leadership experience. Most recently, he was SVP for Advertising Sales Strategy and Operations at Univision Communications, where he worked for nearly seven years. Before this he worked for NBC Universal as Director, Strategic Initiatives & Analysis, and he led supply chain activities for Ford Motor Company.
In his new role, Abiad will head the sales organization and oversee the sales process, and will also set the strategy for company growth, working closely with 605's Analytics, Product and Marketing operations. Company President Tom Keaveney comments: 'Sam is a well-respected sales leader who brings a wealth of experience and deep knowledge of advanced advertising, data and the broader advertising ecosystem as a whole. He has a proven track record of managing key sales business processes, including strategy, business development and execution, with strong ties to our industry that will help 605 continue to scale and expand our customer base'.
