TNS To Run Eurobarometer
The European Commission has chosen TNS to run its Standard Eurobarometer, the largest study of its kind in the world. TNS subsidiary EOS Gallup Europe will manage the project, measuring public opinion on social, economic and political issues across 33 countries in a contract lasting up to four years.
The 33 states include current European Union member states and candidates. The Standard Eurobarometer, which has been running for 30 years, monitors European public attitudes to issues relating to the EU, including enlargement, the Euro and proposals such as a European constitution and a common foreign policy.
