Kynetec Buys Brazilian Agribusiness Intel Firm Spark

Agriculture and animal health specialist Kynetec has acquired Brazilian agribusiness market intelligence firm Spark, for an undisclosed sum.

Formed in 2013, Spark provides data and insights for the on-farm use of crop protection, seed, crop nutrition and biological products; and conducts a survey on agrochemical usage habits. Kynetec says the combination of the two firms creates 'leading coverage' of the crop production market - 29 crops across more than 200 million hectares (including pasture) across Brazil, while also creating the country's leading crop production panel.

Following the deal Spark's staff will join Kynetec's global team of industry experts, interviewers, data analysts, marketing scientists and data visualization specialists; and André Dias (pictured), previously a Managing Partner at Spark, will join Kynetec as Country Lead for Brazil.
