Customer Data Firm Actable Hires Former Merkle Exec

In the US, first party customer data consultancy Actable has hired long-time Merkle exec Craig Howard for the newly created position of Chief Solutions Officer.

The firm, which has offices in New York; Portland, Oregon; and Sydney, Australia, specializes in organizing, analysing and activating first-party customer data. Howard (pictured) joins with more than two decades of experience in solutions architecture, digital transformation and data-driven consulting. For the past thirteen years, he worked at Dentsu-owned data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company Merkle, most recently as Chief Solutions Architect. During his time with the company, Howard worked on many of its technology innovation strategies and helped to establish new technology such as customer data platforms (CDP) and use of the cloud.

In his new role, Howard will oversee the firm's Solutions Consulting team, developing customer data strategies and technology deployments for customers; while also overseeing Actable's industry partnerships with MarTech providers, including customer data, cloud database, and customer experience platforms.
