NCS CEO Linda Dupree Steps Down, Alan Miles Takes Over

Linda Dupree, CEO of NCSolutions (NCS) is to retire later this year, and has already been succeeded by NCS Board Chair Alan Miles. Dupree is staying on as an advisor during a transition period.

NCS is a joint venture between shopper intelligence specialist Catalina and Nielsen, with the latter as the majority owner. Dupree was named CEO in 2019, after serving as Nielsen's SVP, Client Solutions. Earlier, she worked for biometric and neuroscience agency Innerscope Research (acquired by Nielsen in 2015) as EVP, Sales & Marketing, and before this, she spent nineteen years at radio ratings giant Arbitron (acquired by Nielsen in 2013), latterly overseeing the cross-media product division.

Miles will take over the leadership role with nearly 30 years' media and marketing sector experience, eleven of which were spent at Nielsen, where he serves as EVP, Commercial Operations and Strategic Partnerships (his responsibilities at Nielsen will be transitioned in the coming weeks). He has been an NCS Board member since December 2019, and Board Chair since January 2021. Dupree comments: 'My time at NCS has been among the most rewarding in my career. In addition, Dan Malmed, MD of Agency Sales at Nielsen, will join NCS as Chief Revenue Officer, replacing Lance Brothers, who recently announced his departure. In related changes, Jamie Moldafsky, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Nielsen, will replace Miles as Chair of the NCS Board while retaining her responsibilities at Nielsen.
